Construction of a pre-fabricated building. Turn-key house in the winter

Winter has set in, so we have the possibility to check the efficiency of the building’s thermal insulation and detect thermal bridges by using thermo camera. For our best satisfaction, the thermo-photos proved that there were no thermal bridges in the structure. Now You can have a look at the pictures of the house and also the thermal photos. Construction of a pre-fabricated building. Turn-key family house

100 days after the starting date of the construction works the house is complete. Our Customer can move in the house tomorrow. The furniture of the upper floor rooms shall be carried through the balcony, thus the banisters of the balcony will be fixed after the move in. Curtain rods and towel driers will be fixed at the same time. We have a rather cool autumn weather so we have turned on the geothermal heating system already. The heat radiating from the walls and the floor provides a very pleasant sensation of warmth in all parts... 

Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 84-95. Interior tiling and flooring

We prepared a tropical hardwood flooring on the upper floor. To make the laying easier, the Brazilian manufacturer had fixed the 2cm wood slabs on 25cm long paper plates. We fixed the hardwood covering to the laser level concrete cushion and polished the surface. We applied a coat of lacquer on the polished surface afterwards. We used marble tiling on the bottom floor, and rustic granite slabs on the walls of the bathrooms and the kitchen. The floor tiling of the bathroom has a remarkably aesthetic pattern. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 81-93. Interior plastering and coloring

The wall heating of the inside wall is not covered with gypsum boards, but with a 35mm thick gypsum plaster coating. Glass cloth netting is embed in the plaster to avoid chinking. The house-painters polished the plaster, and corrected the ragged surface with gypsum material. We used paintable silicone paste and polystyrene decoration panels at the wall and ceiling jointing. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 80-94. The installation of the geothermal heating system and the water-system

The geothermal system operates with the water coming from the caisson well in the courtyard of the house. The well’s water output is so high, that it could easily supply water for a building 3-4 times larger than this house. The geothermal heat-pump is a Junkers product. A hot-water container with a heating cartridge is built in the housing of the heat pump. In case of heat-pump failure, the heating cartridge is able to supply hot water for the entire house. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day: 67-80. The fixing of natural stone coverings

Besides the conventional fine plastering, we can also use wooden or natural stone slabs as outer covering of a light-weight structure family house. Our Customer is fond of natural materials, so we covered 65% of the facade with natural stone slabs. We got the brown-white colored natural granite from Benkovac, Croatia. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 60-77. The preparation of interior and outer coverings

According to the order of our Customer, we laid natural granite coverings on the bottom floor inside the house, providing a characteristic atmosphere to building. We used ceramics and gres slabs on the upper floor, and laid diagonally placed coverings with cutting patterns in the bathroom. All the terraces, garage ways and sidewalks are covered with natural granite. The design of the terrace’s covering was the idea of the Customer. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 56. The concrete works of the light-weight roof structure of Horizont® pre-fabricated house.

The upper floor cross beams are 200mm wide “C” profile Horizont steel beams, on which we fastened 20mm thick OSB panels. We laid a pressure-resistant and sound-proof polystyrene insulation on the OSB panel surface, and a technological waterproofing on top of it in order to prevent the water getting into the structure from the concrete. For the sake of dilatation a 5mm thick polystyrene band is pasted around the walls, preventing wall damages caused by the thermal expansion of the floor. Construction of a pre-fabricated building: Day 53-56. Exterior covering with natural stones of Horizont® pre-fabricated house.

We put natural stone covering on the parts of the facade of the house where it is not coated with coloured plaster. The natural stone was brought from Dalmatia, Croatia. The slabs are 25-35 mm thick. We use pliable, frost-resisting tile adhesive for the stone tiles. The stone facing and the antique roof tiles provide a Mediterranean atmosphere to the building.  Read more →

Construction of family home: Day 52. –Exterior finishing works – colouring of exterior plaster of Horizont® pre-fabricated house.

Today we started the colouring works of the plaster that we coated on the Heratekta surface before. We started with the colouring works at half to 5 o’clock in the morning, since this task cannot be performed after 11 o’clock because the temperature gets up to 36 degrees Centigrade. There were 10 workers colouring the plaster at the same time. The surface of the colouring is an elliptical worked up frictional structure.
